Fulbright-Hays Seminars Abroad: Bilateral Projects
The program provides short-term study and travel seminars abroad for U.S. educators in the social sciences and humanities for the purpose of improving their understanding and knowledge of the peoples and cultures of other countries.
Fulbright-Hays: Group Projects Abroad Program
This program provides grants to support overseas projects in training, research, and curriculum development in modern foreign languages and area studies for teachers, students, and faculty engaged in a common endeavor. Projects may include short-term seminars, curriculum development, group research or study, or advanced intensive language programs.
Projects must focus on the humanities, social sciences and languages, and must focus on one or more of the following areas: Africa, East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific, the Western Hemisphere (Central and South America, Mexico, and the Caribbean), East Central Europe and Eurasia, and the Near East.
Mary Switzer Research Fellowships
The Switzer Research Fellowships Program was established to build rehabilitation capacity by providing support to qualified individuals to engage in scientific research relating to the rehabilitation of individuals with disabilities.
The topics of Switzer research over the last twenty years include, but are not limited to, issues in medical rehabilitation; rehabilitation service financing, delivery, and utilization; vocational rehabilitation, rehabilitation engineering and assistive technology; rehabilitation psychology and psychiatric rehabilitation; disability policy/rights; rehabilitation measurement; and special education.
